Chief public defender is accused of giving comp time to staff for election day marketing campaign work

The chief public defender of Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, is dealing with costs for allegedly giving compensation time to staff for election day marketing campaign work.

Bradley Winnick was charged final week with theft of companies, conspiracy, battle of curiosity and tampering with public data, in line with a press launch and the legal criticism. He has been suspended with out pay on account of the costs. Pennlive.com and Regulation36zero have protection.

Winnick is accused of providing staff double comp time for work on behalf of a judicial candidate within the 2017 main and common elections, which means they might obtain two hours off work for each hour labored on election day.

Winnick is believed to have offered $26,000 in compensatory time for these two elections. Staff who obtained comp time included legal professionals, paralegals and investigators, in line with the press launch.

The Pennsylvania lawyer common’s workplace is prosecuting the case.
